Ameritech

Brand Description

Ameritech was formed in 1984 as a regional Bell operating company following the breakup of AT&T. It served several states in the Midwest, including Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, and Wisconsin. In the 1990s, Ameritech expanded its services to include digital services and internet access. The company was eventually acquired by SBC Communications in 1999, which later merged with AT&T Inc., making Ameritech part of the larger AT&T brand.
