Replacing the Fuser unit (FP-12CL)

When the fuser unit deteriorates, 

Replace Fuser Cartridge

message appears on the operation 

panel. Replace the fuser unit as soon as the message prompting you to do so appears. The printer will 
stop operating if you do not replace the unit when required.

Fuser unit Handling Precautions

WARNING

■

To avoid burns, never touch the area marked “CAUTION! HOT” (fuser area). 

■

To prevent electric shock, always turn the printer off and disconnect the power cord from the AC 
outlet/socket before cleaning the printer or performing maintenance.

■

Turn the power switch off, unplug the AC power cord and allow the printer to cool for at least 30 
minutes before replace the fuser unit.
