Control Panel Overview

The control panel consists of LED indicators, a Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) and several buttons. This 
section describes the names and functions of the control panel's parts.

LED Indicators

The LED indicators are lights that show the printer status.

Description

Ready indicator

Green

Indicates printing status.

On

Indicates that the printer is not receiving data or that it is ready to print.

Flashing

The printer is receiving print data.

Off

Printing is not possible.

Alarm indicator

Red

Indicates an error.

On

Indicates a paper jam or other problem that the user can correct. 

Flashing

There is a problem that the user cannot correct. Call your dealer or 
Brother Customer Service. 

Off

The printer is working normally.
