Brother Internet Fax Printing Software

Overview

Depending on your network configuration and application requirements for sending faxes via a network, you 
can choose between Brother Network PC FAX Software or Brother Internet Fax Printing Software. With either 
software, viewable document such as web pages, word documents, PDF documents can be sent from the 
users desktop to any standard Facsimile machines, Internet fax machines and E-mail addresses.

Brother Internet Fax Printing Software (BFP) is a Windows

®

 98/98SE/Me, Windows NT

®

 4.0 and Windows

®

 

2000/XP software utility that gives network PC Fax and Internet Fax functionality from the desktop to users 
on your network or over the Internet.

BFP utilizes SMTP as the transport for sending documents from your PC. This allows any PC supported by 
a SMTP mail server to send an Internet FAX even if that PC does not have direct access to the networked 
machine.

Brother Network PC Fax Software utilizes LPR as the transport for sending documents from your PC to the 
networked machine for transmission. This requires that the sending PC has access to the network that the 
sending machine is connected.

Note

Brother Internet Fax Printing Software is not supported in Windows

®
