This section explains how to install the P-touch 
Editor 5.0, printer driver, Software User’s Guide 
(PDF), and Network User’s Guide (PDF) as a whole.

The following is the example for Windows

Start the computer and put the CD-ROM 
into the CD-ROM drive.

If you will be using the models "PT-9800PCN", it is necessary to install the following versions of 
P-touch Editor or b-PAC SDK to avoid printing difficulties:

[P-touch Editor] version 5.0.101 and later (included on CD).
[b-PAC SDK] version 3.0.010 and later (download from Brother Solutions Center).

When using USB interface cable, do not 
connect the printer to the computer until 
directed to do so.

You must be logged on as a user with 
administrator privileges to install this software.

Turn off the printer with the power button 
and then with the main power switch.

If it does not start up automatically, open 
the files on the CD-ROM and double 
click on “Setup.exe”.
