Hummer

Brand Description

The Hummer brand originated with the AM General M998 Humvee, which was designed for military use in the early 1980s. In 1992, AM General began to market a civilian version of the Humvee, known as the Hummer H1. The brand gained significant popularity during the late 1990s and early 2000s, leading to the introduction of additional models such as the Hummer H2 and H3. In 2009, amid financial difficulties, General Motors filed for bankruptcy and discontinued the Hummer brand, although it was later revived as an electric vehicle line under GMC in 2020.
