Founded in 1985, Saturn was created by General Motors to compete with Japanese automakers and to rejuvenate GM's image. The brand's first model, the Saturn S-Series, was introduced in 1990 and quickly gained popularity for its unique plastic body panels and customer-friendly sales practices. Saturn was known for its no-haggle pricing strategy and a focus on customer satisfaction. However, due to various market challenges and management changes, the brand was ultimately discontinued in 2010.
