Cylinder Head

1. Remove the cylinder head screw in the sequence of 

(n or r)

 to

(a)

.

2. Lift up the cylinder head (3) to remove.

3. Remove the cylinder head gasket (4).

(When reassembling)

• Replace the cylinder head gasket (4) with a new one.

• Apply sufficient oil and tighten the cylinder head screws.

• Tighten the cylinder head screws in a diagonal sequence. Start

from the center in the sequence of 

(a)

 to 

(n or r)

.

• Tighten them equally, or the shape of the head changes after

some time.

IMPORTANT

• Before you replace the cylinder head gasket (4), record the

mark (5) on the cylinder head gasket of the engine. Then
replace a cylinder head gasket with same mark.
