Maytag is a leading appliance manufacturer that entered the market in 1893. It produces a wide variety of products for the home including refrigerators and freezers, dishwashers, washers and dryers, cooktops, ranges and ovens, microwaves and compactors. Maytag Corporation traces its roots to a family-owned company that produced agricultural machinery. In 1911, it moved into the production of washing machines under the Maytag name. The company started producing dryers in the 1930s and dishwashers in the 1950s.
