Mazda

Brand Description

Mazda was founded in 1920 by Jujiro Matsuda as Toyo Cork Kogyo Co., Ltd. in Hiroshima, Japan. Originally a manufacturer of machine tools, the company shifted to vehicle production in the 1930s and unveiled its first vehicle, a three-wheeled truck called the Mazda-Go, in 1931. Over the following decades, Mazda evolved from manufacturing small trucks to producing passenger vehicles. The company gained wider international recognition in the 1960s with the introduction of its rotary engine vehicles. This innovative engine technology became a hallmark of the brand, particularly with the popular RX-7 sports car. Despite facing various challenges, including financial difficulties in the early 2000s, Mazda has remained resilient and continues to thrive as a global automotive brand, celebrated for innovation and design.
