Brake System Warning Light

Note the brake warning light each time
you start the engine. It should be on when
the engine is running and the parking
brake is set.

If the brake warning light stays on after
the parking brake is fully released, the
brake system has a malfunction. Refer
to Warning Lights/Beeps (page 5-59).

4-Wheel Antilock Brake
System (4-Wheel ABS)*

This system helps the driver to maintain
vehicle control by preventing wheel
lock-up during hard braking.
