Downshifting
When you must slow down in heavy
traffic or on a steep
upgrade
, downshift
before the engine starts to overwork. This
gives better acceleration when you need
more speed.
On a steep
downgrade
, downshifting
helps maintain safe speed and prolongs
brake life.
