Oldsmobile

Brand Description

Founded in 1897 by Ransom E. Olds in Lansing, Michigan, Oldsmobile was one of the first automobile manufacturers in the United States. The company gained fame with the introduction of the Oldsmobile Curved Dash in 1901, considered one of the first mass-produced cars. Over the decades, Oldsmobile became known for its pioneering technologies, including the introduction of automatic transmission and the first mass-produced V8 engine. However, due to changing market dynamics and declining sales, Oldsmobile was discontinued by General Motors in 2004.
