Jump-Starting:
Jump-starting a frozen battery or
one with a low fluid level is danger-
ous. It may rupture or explode,
causing serious injury. Don’t jump-
start a frozen battery or one with a
low fluid level.

1. Make sure the booster battery is

12-volts and that its negative termi-
nal is grounded.

CAUTION

If the booster is in another vehicle,
don’t allow the vehicles to touch. A
short could be created.

2. Turn off the engine of the vehicle and

all unnecessary electrical loads.
