ADVANCED SMART CITY BRAKE SUPPORT (ADVANCED SCBS)

The Advanced SCBS alerts the driver of a possible collision with a pedestrian or vehicle 

ahead. If the Forward Sensing Camera (FSC) determines that a collision with an object 

is unavoidable, a display will be shown and a warning sound will be heard.

This system operates at vehicle speeds of about 2 mph to 50 mph if the object is a vehicle 

ahead and about 6.2 mph to 50 mph if the object is a pedestrian. In addition, the system 
reduces damage in the event of a collision by operating the brakes when the system 
determines that a collision is unavoidable.
