NOTE
If the bulb is accidentally touched, it
should be cleaned with rubbing alco-
hol before being used.
Do not remove the burned-out bulb
unless you can immediately replace it
with a new one. If a bulb is removed
for an extended period of time, con-
taminants may enter the headlight
housing and affect its performance.
1. Make sure the headlight control
switch is in the OFF position.
2. Open the hood. If you are replacing
the driver side headlight, unclip the
electronic module on the right side of
the battery and move it out of the way.
3. Locate the headlight bulb through the
hole in the upper radiator support
assembly.
4. Disconnect the electrical connector
from the bulb by pulling rearward.
5. Remove the bulb retaining ring by
rotating it counterclockwise (when
viewed from the rear) to free it from
the bulb socket, and slide the ring off
the plastic base.
Keep the ring in the
rearward position.
You must use it
again to hold the new bulb in place.
6. Carefully remove the bulb assembly
from its connector by gently pulling it
rearward without turning.
