Adding Engine Oil
1. Check the engine oil.
2. If fluid level is not within the normal
range, add only certified engine oil of
the preferred viscosity. Add engine oil
through the oil filler cap. Remove the
filler cap and use a funnel to pour oil
in the opening.
3. Recheck the oil level. Make sure
the oil level is not above the MAX
(2.5L) mark or the letter F in FULL
(3.0L/4.0L) on the dipstick.
4. Install the indicator and ensure it is
fully seated.
5. Fully install the engine oil filler cap by
turning the filler cap clockwise until
three clicks can be heard.
CAUTION
To avoid possible oil loss, DO NOT
operate the vehicle with the engine oil
level indicator and/or the engine oil
filler cap removed.
CAUTION
Overfilling with engine oil will dam-
age your engine.
