CAUTION

Add only fuel system cleaning
agents that Mazda has specified, or
the equivalent. Others may damage
the system. Consult an Authorized
Mazda Dealer.

Vehicle damage and driveability prob-
lems resulting from using the following
may not be covered by the manufac-
turer’s warranty:

S

Gasohol containing more than 10%
ethanol

S

Gasoline or gasohol containing meth-
anol

S

Leaded fuel or leaded gasohol

*Some models.

J

Cleaner Air

Mazda approves the use of reformulated
“cleaner-burning“ gasolines to improve
air quality. These gasolines may contain
oxygenates up to 10% ethanol or 15%
MTBE.

J

FFV engine*

Your vehicle is designed to use Fuel
Ethanol (E85), “Regular” unleaded gas-
oline or any percentage of the two fuels
combined.

CAUTION

U.S. government regulations require
fuel ethanol dispensing pumps to
have a small, square, orange and
black label with the common
abbreviation E85 or the appropriate
percentage for that region. Use of
other fuels such as Fuel Methanol
may cause powertrain damage, a
loss of vehicle performance, and
your warranty may be invalidated.

FFV fuel tanks may contain zero to 85
percent or more of ethanol. Any fuel
blends containing gasoline and ethanol
should be treated the same as fuel etha-
nol (E85).
