Exterior Lamps

Automatic Lamp Control

Your vehicle is equipped with an

Automatic Lamp Control system, which

automatically turns on the headlamps

and other exterior lamps at night or

when necessary. The exterior lamps

also can be operated manually.

The Automatic Lamp Control system’s

light sensor is located on top of the

instrument panel. To ensure proper sys-

tem operation, it’s important to avoid plac-

ing any objects on or near the sensor.

Exterior Lamp Controls

Rotate the exterior lamp control switch,

located on the left side of the instrument

panel, to one of the following positions:

(On/Off): This position turns off the

exterior lamps except for the Daytime

Running Lamps. 

AUTO (Automatic): This position auto-

matically turns on the headlamps, park-

ing lamps, taillamps and instrument

panel lights at night or when needed. 

(Parking Lamps): This position

turns on the parking lamps, taillamps

and instrument panel lights. 

(Headlamps): This position turns on

the headlamps, parking lamps, taillamps

and instrument panel lights. 

(Fog Lamps) (if equipped): Push in

the switch to turn on the fog lamps.

Push again to turn them off.

Cruise Control

The cruise control but-

tons, located on the

steering wheel, per-

form the following

functions:

(On/Off): Press

this button to turn the

cruise control system

on and off. 

+ RES (Resume/

Accelerate): Press

this button to resume a set speed, or to

increase the set speed when the system

is active.

– SET (Set): Press this button to set a

speed, or to decrease the set speed

when the system is active. When the

cruise control is set, the Cruise light will

illuminate on the instrument panel cluster.

(Cancel): Press this button to cancel

the set speed. Applying the brakes will

also cancel the set speed.

Ultrasonic Rear Park Assist 

(if equipped)

This feature uses four ultrasonic sensors

on the rear bumpers to help you avoid

colliding with objects when parking the

vehicle. It operates only at speeds less

than 5 mph.
