Open the top cover. 

(see image 12.1)

Remove the drum unit assembly.

Remove by holding each side of the drum by 
its handles and gently lifting the drum for-
ward towards you.

Wipe the electric terminals with isopropyl alcohol 
on a cotton swab. 

(see image 12.3)

Gently wipe the scanner window 

(see image 12.4) 

and the toner sensor with a clean soft dry cloth. 

(see image 12.5)

Do not use alcohol to clean the scanner win-
dow or the toner sensor
