Printing on thick paper, labels and card stock

Do not use damaged, curled, wrinkled, or irregularly shaped paper.

Do not use labels without a mount.

We recommend that you use paper that is made for laser printers.

Use paper that can withstand intense heat; the interior of the printer reaches very high temperatures
while printing.

Figure 1-18

Before you print paper with holes, such as organizer sheets, you must fan the stack to avoid
paper jams and misfeeds.

Figure 1-19

Do not place the punched holes of organizer sheets near the actuator (paper sensor).

Do not use organizer sheets that are stuck together. The glue on them might cause damage to

the printer.

Do not put different types of paper in the paper tray at the same time because it may cause paper

jams or misfeeds.

Do not print thick paper, labels or card stock using duplex printing.

For proper printing, you must choose the same paper size from your software application as the
paper in the tray.

See What kind of paper can I use? on page 1-5.
